Industrial Visit Report

Introduction: On September 15, 2023, a group of 25 students from Shri Shivaji Insttitute of Engineering and Management Studies Parbhani, embarked on an industrial visit to Samarth Industry located in MIDC Parbhani. The purpose of the visit was to gain practical insights into the manufacturing processes, repairing and operations of a leading industrial establishment in the region.
Overview: Samarth Industry is renowned for its expertise in transformer making, repairing. The facility spans over 1000 square meters and employs over 10 skilled professionals dedicated to delivering high-quality products.

Production Tour: The visit commenced with a guided tour of the production floor, where students witnessed the assembly lines and manufacturing processes in action. They observed the use of state-of-the-art machinery and automation systems, which significantly enhance productivity and efficiency.
Quality Control department :Students were taken to the quality control department, where they learned about the rigorous quality assurance procedures implemented by the company. They gained insights into the importance of maintaining high-quality standards to ensure customer satisfaction and market competitiveness.
Interaction: The students had the opportunity to interact with engineers and technicians working at the facility. They engaged in meaningful discussions regarding the challenges and opportunities in the industry, as well as the latest trends and innovations in manufacturing technologies.
Management Insights: A session with the management team provided students with valuable insights into the strategic decision-making processes and organizational structure of the company. They learned about the importance of effective leadership and teamwork in achieving business objectives.

The industrial visit Samarth Industry Facility proved to be an enriching and educational experience for the participants. Industrial Visit Report

Introduction: On 19 march 2024, 41 students from Shri Shivaji Institute of Engineering and Management Studies Parbhani, visited Thermal power station in Parali having the capacity of 250MW electricity generation. The purpose of the visit was to gain practical insights into the generation process, operations of various equipments used.
Objectives:
Highlights:
Water treatment plant- The visit commenced with a guided tour of the water treatment chambers. They observed the water storage unit and various chemical actions on water.
Ash handling plant: Students learn about how ash is carried to power station and it is pulverized with various crushers and fed to furnace.
Turbine generators: Students saw the turbine from outside which was the huge close structure and generator was coupled to it.
Control room: The students got the opportunity to interact with head of control room and engineers and they saw DCS systems and panels for controlling the whole power station.
Conclusion:
The industrial visit to Thermal power station, Parali was successful and knowledgeable. We received insights of the whole plant from raw material (coal), processing, combustion and generation of energy. The whole process was explained in detail by the representative Mr. Jadhav Sir. A doubt session with control room incharge cleared all quires of students. We would highly appreciate more such visits in the future.
